In the book, "Matilda," by Roald Dahl, I met this girl, Matilda. She grew up in a house with a mean brother, a sassy mom, and a rich dad. Her parents never let her read, all she could do was watch TV. She lived a life of constant misery. Her dream was to go to school and get an education. Finally, her parents let her go to school. The principal was cruel to everyone, but mostly Matilda. However, there was one teacher, Miss Honey, that was kind to her and loved her. Here's the Spoiler Alert, at the end, Matilda was adopted by Miss Honey and her life got much better.
This book is filled with adventures, some good and some bad. There are funny moments that make the book humorous. For example, Matilda loves playing pranks on her dad and brother. During one of her pranks, she glued her dad's hat so that when he put it on, it wouldn't come off. Later that day, Matilda's family went to a fancy restaurant and the hat came off but he became bald! It was a catastrophe!!! This is just one of many examples of the humor in this book. So, if you like a book that will give you a good laugh, then purchase it and start reading!!!
