If you are one for poetic language and moving life stories, this book is for you. I simply could not put this wonderful book down. This book functions as both a collection of poems and an autobiography. Woodson utilizes her flowy style of writing to conjure a classy, yet deeply touching story of hope, hurt, laughter and struggle as not only a female, not only a black American, but also a human. No matter who you are or where you come from, this book is sure to give you the feels.

Being the lover of words and facts that I am, this National Geographic series absolutely thrills me. Pages and pages of little-known trivia? Awesome. Pages and pages of RANDOM trivia? Even better. And pages and pages of random trivia to share with my seven knowledge-absorbing siblings and friends -- well, that would be nearly a dream come true!

As an artist myself, I have many artistically inclined role models, many who are represented in this book. On top of that, I am a fanatic for history and the stories of people who lived at different times from me and in different societies. And as a third reason for why I should get this book, I already own Kid Presidents and have reread it front to cover over ten times! Lastly, I love reading and sharing book suggestions with others. :)

This book is fun, silly, and creative. It's about a big eared giant and a little girl with glasses who both don't fit in. The giant kidnaps Sophie, the girl, but turns out to be kind. They both become friends and team up to save some schoolchildren from other horrible giants.

This is a really fun book about a princess in a magical castle. This castle can not only change rooms and expand on a daily basis, it actually seems to have feelings and a knack to tell right from wrong. This book is funny and unique and you should definitely read it.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. Wendy Mass is such a good author! This book is really amazing and it's about four different kids competing against each other in a candymaking contest. Each has their own pasts and reasons why they entered the contest. This is a really great book and I definitely would recommend it.
