soyster's book review was featured in The Unwanteds.
I surprisingly really liked this book. This book is about a boy named Alex. Alex lives in the land of Quill where the people are divided into 3 categories. The wanteds, necessaries, and the unwanteds. The unwanteds are sent away to be killed because they showed creativity. His brother, Aaron, becomes a wanted, but he becomes an unwanted (along with his best friend Meghan). Along with many other kids, he is sent away to die, but instead finds a land called Artimé with a mage named Mr. Today running it. Artimé is a place filled with all the past unwanteds. The people use their creativity there to turn it into magic. He makes some friends there, but Alex dreams of getting his brother back. His brother learns all the information on Artimé and betrays him by telling the person in charge of Quill. A war is waged and there's tension. At the beginning of the book, I wasn't hooked that much, but as I continued, I found that I was sort of addicted to the story. If you like reading things like magic, you might want to try reading this book.

This book was really good. It revolves mainly around 4 kids named Will Junior, Bobbi, Mibs, and Fish. Mibs' dad gets in a car accident right before her 13th birthday, which is when in her family called the Beaumont family, they get their own savvy. A savvy is like a special power they get, but they don't know what it's going to be until their birthday. She wanted to go to her dad in a town named Salina, so she sneaked onto a bus that she thought was going to that town. Her brother, Fish, wouldn't allow her to go alone, and since Will wanted to go, Bobbi wouldn't let him go alone. The story gets all tangled up when the bus heads in the opposite direction of their intended place and they meet new people on the way. This book was really exiting and I really enjoyed it. I especially liked the character Samson, who was Mibs' and Fish's younger brother. I think that if you have the chance, you should read this book.

This book is really cool. The picture of the book shows the graphic novel, so i read that one instead. It was pretty good and i enjoyed the pictures. Some details were left out on some things, but in the regular book, it would probably give you more background information.

This book was pretty great. Being the first book in a series, it did a really good job hooking you in. It made me want to read the other books in the series, so overall I think that it was nice.
