The Giver shows how different the world would be if everything was the same. Everything in Jonas's life is as simple as black and white. There is no gray areas. Then, one day, Jonas is chosen to be the Receiver and his world is forever changed. The job of Receiver allows Jonas to see color for the first time, to experience feelings for the first time, and to see the good and bad of everything life has to offer.

I really like survival stories, so this book looks like a very good match for me! would really like this book, and THANK YOU DOGO, all of the books you have sent me, have become favorites of mine!!

This was a great story and totally relateable because getting lost in a book is easy to do. I loved the Beauty and the Beast movie and think that this book would make a good movie too. Belle gets lost in a book and goes on an adventure so it is like reading 2 books at the same time.

Cinder is part of The Lunar Chronicles. It puts a modern day spin on the classic Cinderella in a way. I didn't really like the cyborg aspect of it though. I lot of people liked this book series, but I was not a fan of Cinder so I doubt I will read the other books.

My brother just convinced me to read the first book- and it was SO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!! I also enjoyed dork diaries, so now I love Rachel Renée Russell and hope this book doesn't have such a big cliffhanger!!

I knew this book was going to be good, but I wasn't prepared for how long I was going to stay up to finish it. It was a very fun story, there were a few twists and turns. It was about a girl named Honorine who was a maid at the Vidalia mansion. Then she suddenly finds herself in the middle of a battle, with her life in danger.
