It was a fun and fast read. It used footnotes to explain things that most authors would put in parentheses, which made it unique. It is about a boy who just wants to be liked and have a fun summer. But then his parents make him go to a summer camp with them. He realizes that none of the kids at the camp will know him, and decides to "reinvent" himself. He then tries on a whole new personality and learns a lot about himself. There were some parts that I thought were so funny that I couldn't stop laughing out loud!

Soul Surfer is a true story about an unbelievable shark attack. This is an amazing movie.

Awesome book! It takes place in the summer of 1899 when "Callie Vee", an eleven year old girl, wonders about the different color grasshoppers in her yard. Through the book, Calpurnia becomes close to her grandfather who isn't the most social man. They have lots of bonding and learning time together. I couldn't put it down!

Turtle is an eleven year old girl who is living in the year of 1935. Her mother goes to work as a cleaning person for a woman who doesn't like kids. Then, Turtle is sent to Florida to live with her cousins. In Florida, Turtle becomes a different person and her world opens up. This is a great book!
