Overall, I give this book 3.5 stars but, since there is no half I'll round up to 4. I thought 'The School for Good and Evil' was pretty good but it had some flaws. This book is about a place where all the fairytale characters are real and have children. (Very 'The Sisters Grimm' esc) They send their children to the School for Good and Evil. But every year there are also 2 'readers'. People who aren't desendants of characters but instead have read the stories. The main characters are pink-loving, 'kind', pretty Sophie and black-wearing, ugly, creepy Agatha. Sophie is sure she'll go to the school for good and Agatha evil. But the story takes an interesting turn when they each head to the other's school. Their lives get even more hectic when a cute prince enters the mix... First of all, I thought this book was cute and had a fun theme. But, I found the numerous action sences hard to follow and I easily got confused. I liked the story but, I found for a 400 page book, some important plot points weren't thouroghly explained. There lots of unexpected surprises but, some went a little too far. I thought the ending was kind of twisted. I would recommend this book to girls who aren't boy crazy yet. So, probably 9-11 year olds.

Legacy of the Claw looks very fun and I've heard good things about it. This genre of book doesn't really interest me but, a couple girls in my Girl Scout troop are obsessed with animals and playing games about transforming into animals. If I won this book I would give it to them so that they could read it. One of the younger girls isn't excited about reading chapter books, yet, so I'm hoping this would convince her!

Looks like fun! It says it's similar to one of my favorite books. (Harry Potter!)

If I won this book, I would give it to someone I know who is in love with reading and American Girl.

I'm working on a badge right now that's about learning the science behind spies so I think this would be a fun thing to read!

Once you get past the beginning, this book is great. There's a tragically funny love triangle, well more like a square. I don't think real relationships are that complicated. My mom says otherwise. Anyway, this book is full of twists and turns as you follow James and Sloane and find out if they'll ever escape The Program's grasp. There is a lot of suspense, especially between parts. Struggle through the first 75 pages and you'll find you can't step away. Almost spoilers*, (if you haven't read the first book) you'll also find out what happens to The Treatment, the pill that can bring back memories and find a part of the program that's even worse than taking memories. The hero in this story is unlikely in real life but, I loved the twist. Overall, a great book. I would definitely recommend this to anyone 13+, for the intense romance.
