Have you ever read Ever After High? What about Monster High? If you've read and loved those books you NEED to get The Legend of Shadow High. The Legend of Shadow High is a mix of Ever After High and Monster High, and you'll love it just as much or more than you loved the other two. When the Evil Queen escapes her mirror prison and starts to investigate a mysterious place called Shadow High, kids from Monster High and Ever After High must work together to stop the Evil Queen before it's too late. The Evil Queen is in over her head, and she doesn't realize what will happen to the World of Stories if she joins all the different lands together. Will Draculaura, Frankie Stein, Raven Queen, and Apple White be able to stop the Queen before it's too late or will their world crumble to pieces? I really enjoyed this book, and it's a great fantasy read for younger elementary school kids. One unique thing I really enjoyed about this book was how it was written like it was being narrarated by another character in the story (Brooke Page) and how Brooke could 'talk' to you at the bottom of the page in the margins. I recommend to read Ever After High and Monster High before you read this though, so that everything makes sense. All in all, you will love the memorable characters in this book, and you won't be able to put this book down until you've finished it. I hope you enjoy!

maddyp18's book review was featured in Kid Authors: True Tales of Childhood from Famous Writers (Kid Legends).
If you like to learn about the authors that wrote some of our favorite books, in an interesting way, this is the book for you. This Kid Authors book is all about the childhood of some of the authors we know and love, told in an interesting way. For instance, did you know that Jeff Kinney (he wrote Diary of a Wimpy Kid), based his books off of read life experience being the middle child? Also, did you know that Beverly Cleary struggled to read growing up? Roald Dahl even based his book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" off his love and fascination of candy as a child. There are so many interesting facts in this book, and many exciting stories, too. With great illustrations and funny quips, this fiction book is a must-read!

maddyp18's book review was featured in Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow.
This book is such a great fantasy novel, you just have to read it. Morrigan Crow is cursed, and she is blamed for all the accidents or unlucky incidents that happen in her town. She is also doomed to die on her 11 birthday at midnight. But then, on the night of her birthday, a strange man named Jupiter comes and takes her away from her home in a huge two-story-high brass pod, far away from her dull family, narrowly escaping death. They arrive in the secret, magical, colorful city Nevermoor, where Morrigan learns that Jupiter has chosen her to compete in four difficult trials to get into the incredible 'Wundrous Society' which Jupiter himself is in. There she learns that getting into the Wundrous Society isn't going to be as easy as it sounds, as she's competing against more then 500 kids, and she's expected to have a talent that makes her special, when she's sure that she doesn't. Will Morrigan discover her talent that Jupiter assures her she has, or will she fail the talent trial, and get sent back to her old home, where she's doomed to die. Read the book to find out what happens next. If you really like reading fantasy novels, this is the book for you, with just the right amount of action, emotion, and wit. I'm hoping there will be a sequel, because I can't get enough of this story, and I couldn't put it down when I was reading it. This story takes you away to another world, and you really care about the characters. I recommend this book to kids in late elementary and middle school.

When I first started this book I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I don't normally love Believe It or Not books, but this one surprised me. All the facts in this book are really interesting, and I recommend it to anyone who loves The Guinness World Record books, or any other Ripley books. From pizza 20 football fields long to two nosed dogs, there are a bunch of wacky but cool facts in this amazing book. There are also lots of pictures within this book. Overall, I think this book is a great family read. Once you start to read it, you can't stop! Some more interesting facts are... Underwater ice hockey, Flowers that bloom in space, Car tires made out of ice, and much more! Get this book now!
