Right about now, you are probably getting ready to pen your Christmas wish list. If you like most people are already inundated with all the smart gadgets possible, here is an idea that may appeal to you - A life-size Transformers suit!

The brainchild of avid autobot fan Drew Beaumier, the suit comprises of a vehicle body, helmet, battery belt and even motor equipped drive boots, that allows the user to zoom around like an automobile at speeds of up to 10-15km/hr when in “vehicle” mode. Then, just when people around are getting comfortable seeing a little toy-like car driving around, he/she can spring up and strut around like Optimus Prime.

The best part is that since Drew custom-builds each suit from gently used toys and sporting gear, the drive suit can be made to resemble almost any vehicle. Given that it does take a whopping 50 hours to create, the suit is priced at a slight premium, costing about $1,800 USD each.

Drew's first Transformer suit created about four years ago, was made from a used Power Wheels car that he managed to obtain for a bargain price of $300 USD. Today, his extensive collection of Transformers suits includes a Ford Mustang, a Red Harley Davidson and even, a yellow Volkswagen Beetle.

Over the years, Drew has received so many requests from fans, that he finally decided to offer them up for sale. And, while he is currently custom creating each one, that may soon change. That's because the young California resident recently received an investment from Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary (Mr. Wonderful) who plans to set him up with a toy manufacturer. If all goes well, by next Christmas toy stores all over the world will be featuring Drew's amazing invention, hopefully at a more reasonable price.
