Always seeking out the sunniest spot or the one with the best view in your house? if you lived at the Everingham Rotating House in Wingham, New South Wales, that would not be a problem - All you would have to do is touch a screen - and voila your wish would be granted!

Luke Everingham, a media engineer and construction contractor first thought about a 'movable' home, while talking to a neighbor who was wishing that their new house had been built more towards the north.

So when he and his wife started to build their dream home, he decided to design one that would rotate with a switch - As you would expect, it was not easy. It took him six months to just come up with the right design, thousands of hours of research to find the right materials and a total of six years to build the house - but in the end, it was definitely worth the effort!

Situated on a rotating turntable, the octagonal masterpiece is surrounded with glass windows to let in the maximum amount of sunlight. In order to make the house movable, all the core plumbing and electric fittings are situated in the middle of the house and then connected to the rooms.

Surrounding the house, is a 3-meter, 360 degree patio, giving the Everinghams a place to relax outside any room they wish to - and surrounded by any view their hearts desire!
