Blackbirds with their distinctive yellow beaks, singing in their rich, varied and flute-like voices are a very common and welcomed sight in London. However not this little talented fella - his singing is driving the Talbot family in whose garden he resides, stir crazy!

That's because thinks he is a parrot - instead of singing sweet bird songs, this little guy imitates all the sounds he hears around him.

Since he arrived in April, he has learnt how to imitate the ring of a cell phone so perfectly that Mr. Talbot thinks it is his phone ringing. He can also imitate a car alarm and even wolf-whistle perfectly.

However, what's driving the neighborhood crazy is his habit of imitating an ambulance siren at 5.00 am every morning. Since they live near a hospital, at first the Talbots thought it was a real ambulance.

However, when it started to occur every morning at the same time, they became a little suspicious - sure enough it was this tiny bird making an incredibly loud sound.

While it was cute at first, the Talbot family is now getting really tired of being woken up so early every single morning. They have tried to shoo the bird away, but he refuses to leave.

Ornithologists (bird experts), who have watched the video of this clever little blackbird are amazed. While blackbirds are capable of imitating sounds, they rarely ever do. They believe this is a young bird trying to impress a female blackbird, by making sounds that are different from other more 'ordinary' blackbirds.

For the sake of the poor Talbot family, we hope that's true, because according to the British Garden Birds Website, blackbirds only sing loudly from a prominent song post during breeding season, which starts in early spring and ends in July. We wonder what song he will return with next year!
