The crouching Jaguar affixed atop its namesake car is probably more popular than the car itself. Now a British motorcycle enthusiast has taken his love for the logo, to a whole new dimension . With the help of a designer and motorbike manufacturer, he has built a bike on which the traditional body has been replaced with the sleek sculptured Jaguar logo.

Barend Hemmes, from Bermondsey, South London, says the idea came to him when he was doodling in the office, combining company logos with motorbikes. It suddenly struck him how well the Jaguar logo went with the motorbike - and he decided to combine the two.

Teaming up with designer Lee J. Rowland and a sculptor he managed to complete the fiberglass bodywork for the bike. He then enlisted motorbike manufacturer, Polar Bikes, to build the stainless steel frame.

The bike's engine, a V-twin motor was chosen because it makes the best purrrrrrrrring sound. It's wheels and other parts were taken from a classic Japanese sports bike bought of e-Bay. While the bike looks like it's raring to go, it can only reach speeds of upto 50mph.

But that is probably good news for all bike enthusiasts, who want to admire this amazingly chic 6ft long bike that sports the license plate cat1, as it purrs past them. The total cost of this cool contraption? - A mere 240,000 British Pounds (about $400,000 USD).
